The easy water activities in our Water Cycle book are an introduction to the properties of water. Our activity book contains 15 mini-lessons about different properties of water. Here is examples of
some of the information covered in the activity book. Children learn that when water is frozen solid it floats on water when it is a liquid. They learn that icebergs contain ice that floats beneath the surface of the ocean. They learn that you can create melodies by using different amounts of water in bottles. These are just a few of the things they learn in the mini-lessons in our Water Cycle Activity book.
Kids science activities
Many of the easy water activities in our Water Cycle book are fun for students of all ages. If teachers have a variety of ages they are teaching the activities in this book are perfect for students in several different grades to do at the same time during a class period. Students will enjoy seeing how uncooked eggs can float depending when the density of water is changed. Here are some of the titles of the activities in our Water Cycle book: Floating Clippies, Great Ice Cube Race, Water Towers, What the Volume, Floaters and Sinkers, Penny Drop, and Water Beads.
Easy water activities are especially fun for preschoolers and elementary students. Our Water Cycle activity book includes a mini-lesson with each of the activities in this fun and easy to teach book. Students learn about surface tension, water pressure, the expansion and contraction of water when it freezes and thaws. Included with each activity there is information in a section called Science behind the activity. This section is designed for older students and adults.
Our Water Cycle activity book contains 15 mini-lessons and activities. Each lesson is short and an activity related to the water cycle follows with a Science behind the activity section for teachers and older students. Early education students need short lessons followed by an activity that increases a student’s understanding of the science concept.
The materials for each of the activities in this book are usually found around the home, in a classroom or at a local store. The author’s goal was to create an activity book about the water cycle that contains activities that are easy to do with a minimum of materials.
Science activities for preschoolers
Preschoolers will love creating water melodies, picking up an ice cube with a toothpick, and finding out what happens when an ice cube melts in a cup of oil. Another fun activity for preschoolers is to discover why some cans of soda pop floats and some will sink.
These easy water activities are just some of the things that preschoolers will enjoy doing while learning important science concepts. Each mini-lesson is designed to take just a few minutes by the teacher at the start of the lesson. It gives students an understanding of what they are looking for as they complete the fun activity.
